Yes! We work with horses of all ages, breeds, and disciplines. Whether your horse is a competitive athlete, a pleasure horse, or a senior companion, I can tailor our sessions to your horse's specific needs.

What should I expect during a session for my horse?

During a session, I will perform a thorough evaluation of your horse's physical condition. I will use various techniques, to assess the best course of action going forward, such as massage, stretching, and joint mobilization, so I can more accurately address specific issues or provide overall relaxation. Initial sessions typically last 60-90 minutes, after I get to know your horse recurring sessions usually last 30-45 minutes.

How often should my horse receive bodywork?

The frequency of bodywork sessions depends on your horse's individual needs and goals. For maintenance, a session every 2-4 weeks is common. However, if your horse has specific issues, I may recommend more frequency, usually weekly sessions.

Is equine bodywork a replacement for veterinary care and evaluations?

No, equine bodywork is not a substitute for veterinary care, and never should be used as such. It is a complementary therapy that works alongside veterinary treatments to support your horse's health. Always consult with your veterinarian for any medical concerns.

Do I need to prepare my horse before a bodywork session?

It's helpful to ensure that your horse is clean and free of mud or sweat before the session. Additionally, your horse should be properly groomed and ready to stand safely during the session.

Please DO NOT work your horse before a session, this way they aren't sweaty (this can affect how well the KT Tape adheres).

Can I be present during the bodywork session for my horse?

I typically encourage horse owners to be present during the session, as your insights into your horse's behavior and health can be valuable. However, it's important to follow my instructions to ensure a safe and productive session.
